Accessibility statement for Community Insight

This accessibility statement applies to the applications:

  • https://wales.communityinsight.org/
  • https://scotland.communityinsight.org/

We are currently in the process of assessing the cost to fix the issues identified and identifying a timeline to implement these.

This website is run by OCSI. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this application. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the application using just a keyboard
  • listen to most of the application using a screen reader

How accessible this application is

We know some parts of this application are not fully accessible:

  • Alternative text attributes for images are not always meaningful
  • The tabbing order is not always logical
  • Some form inputs and buttons do not always have accessible names
  • Some components are unable to be interacted with using a keyboard navigation or speech input
  • Navigation via heading is not always possible as some heading levels are skipped
  • Access keys have been defined which may affect users of assistive technologies
  • Semantic markup isn’t always used to aid accessibility
  • Some links do not have additional styling beyond a change of colour
  • Some rendering issues of content is observed when applying custom CSS or zooming the page and or text
  • Some text may be difficult to read due to a lack of contrast

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 21/09/2021. It was last reviewed on 21/09/2021.

This application was last tested on 08/04/2021 to WCAG Level AA. The test was carried out by Zoonou.

For testing carried out by Zoonou, the evaluation methodology is based on WCAG-EM, using a structured sample in preference to a randomly selected sample where possible. Zoonou conduct manual accessibility audits using both code reviews and assistive technology pairings recommended by GDS.
